After School Care
Care For School Age Children
At Stepping Stones, we provide care for school age children throughout the entire year. Drop off is available from 7am, and the last collection is at 7pm, offering flexibility for families.
All meals are provided, and children benefit from after school activities as well as supervised homework time.
We also offer school collection services, and during summer and school holidays, full-time care is available to support families’ needs.

Other local schools can be accommodated based on demand and availability.
Meals
We ensure that all dietary, cultural, and allergen requirements are fully accommodated for every child in our care. This commitment is guided by our Healthy Eating Policy, which outlines the standards and procedures we follow to support diverse needs and preferences. Afterschool Homework Support
The Afterschool rooms are fully fitted out with tables and chairs where staff supervise children completing their homework.
Parents are updated regularly with any challenges their child is facing.
The Afterschool rooms are fully equipped with appropriate tables and chairs, creating a comfortable and organised environment for children to complete their homework. During this time, staff members are present to supervise and support the children as they work through their assignments, ensuring a productive and focused atmosphere.
In addition, parents are kept informed on a regular basis about their child’s progress. If any challenges or difficulties arise during homework sessions, staff promptly communicate these concerns to parents, fostering a collaborative approach to supporting each child's learning and development.
Play Facilities and Social Interaction
Indoor, Outdoor, and Sheltered Play Areas
Children have access to a variety of play environments, including indoor, outdoor, and sheltered areas. These spaces are designed to ensure that play can take place regardless of weather conditions, providing flexibility and comfort for all children.
Device-Free Policy and Encouraged Group Play
A strict no device policy is enforced within the play areas. Once homework is completed, children are encouraged to engage in play together, promoting social interaction, cooperation, and the development of interpersonal skills.
Care Provision During Primary School Closures
Care services are available for children upon request during periods when primary schools are closed. This ensures that families have access to reliable support outside of regular school hours, helping to maintain continuity in supervision and engagement for children during unexpected or scheduled closures. Staff are on hand to provide a safe environment, and activities are organised to keep children occupied and supported throughout the day.
